Frost E.C.E

Controllability Level: 1 Stability Level: 9

Frost E.C.E. is the complete opposite of thermal E.C.E.. Frost E.C.E. is always at a constant absolute zero/zero degrees kelvin. It’s primary use is keeping thermal E.C.E.’s temperature in check, but is also used in weaponry and some medical treatments.

Some people call it “frozen sludge,” as it can easily be characterized as magma that is bright sky blue with a faint glow and white mist coming off it.

WARNING

Coming in contact with uncontained frost E.C.E. will result in severe frostbite and/or limb loss if you are not equipped with the right safety equipment

Frost E.C.E is the least controllable E.C.E. the company discovered. All manipulators and Users are able to do, is make it flow in the direction they choose. Users do not get resistance to its cold. But what makes up for how uncontrollable it is, is its stability. Only the sludge is capable of freezing on contact. The mist it emits is normally around only -1°C. Everything frost E.C.E. freezes has the chance to become either extremely brittle, or becomes stronger than the company’s V-X Alloy. Because of this, it is the easiest E.C.E. to contain as it secures itself in its containment.

Unlike thermal and static E.C.E., frost has a negative energy output. So long as the energy input is more powerful than frost absorption rate, the mechanism will work as normal. If not, the mechanism is useless until the frost E.C.E. is removed from the equation. And then you got to hope it was not destroyed by the E.C.E.. For these reasons, frost E.C.E. is only allowed to be a coolant for thermal powered mechanisms.

The currently discovered Frost E.C.E. catalysts are:

  • Frozen Nitrogen

  • Solid Dry Ice

  • Comet Core
