military Ship: The Whale

The Whale wasn’t always a military ship. At the start of the company, it was designed to be a space bus. A simple design made for fast space travel to get employees to and from the VexTech complex. But when the Military was formed we realize we needed a way to move solders safely. And as our company became more and more known, and started to be seen as a competitor and threat to some. We made the decision to upgrade all available Whales to the heavily armored personnel carrier used today.

The Whales hull is armored with triple layered 3” V-X Alloy, making it extremely durable, hard to breach and capable of sticking together during planet fall.

The front is armed with 2 tusks and large pointed face. The tusks are built to ram into the side of ships and grab hold. The pointed face is the entrance, when the ship rams into another it can open up to pry open and entry point. There is a blast door between the entrance and the personnel room incase of breach while ramming.

In the personnel room there are 28 standing seats. each designed to keep the personnel safe during impact.

There are no windows for improved defense. The only way for the driver to see is the cameras on the front, sides, top, and bottom, and a radar.

The cockpit is near the back of the ship to reduce risk while ramming, and separated from the personnel room. cameras in the ship allow the driver to keep an eye out for any intruders boarding the ship. if necessary, the diver’s seat has a spatial teleporter attached allowing them to quickly return to the complex.

There are 2 reactors for transportation. The first one is a gen.2 spatial warp drive placed in between the personnel room and the cockpit, coordinates can be chosen by the driver for easy major distance transportation. The second reactor is a static space grade reactor placed behind the cockpit, this reactor powers the ship and allows control over the thrustors for ramming, shorter distance transportation, and landing.

There are 8 orientation thrustors and 4 H-P thrustors. The H-P thrustors are designed for the intense speed used in the ramming. The orientation thrustors are used for landing, agile movements, and shorter distance transportation. They are also retractable to reduce damage during ramming and planet fall.
