Topic: District Renaming
!Attention all VexTech Staff!
Now for those who didn’t know, the reason why the districts were named as acronyms is because of all of the sub-districts inside each major district. The only district that wasn’t named this way was the entertainment district. This was because the entertainment district is a much more recent addition and is still getting fully worked out, while all of the other districts have either been apart of, or has been planned to be apart of VexTech from the start.
Anyway, each major district excluding the entertainment district will be getting renamed to a full name. Their J.L.D.C classifications will still be acronyms, but of their new names. Each sub-district will also be getting their own classifications for the J.L.D.C., this way it makes it easier to organize and for staff to find the logs they need to read.
The new names and classifications for the major districts are:
C.G.M.D. —> Science District
Classification: S.D.
M.S.R.D. —> Defense District
Classification: D.D.
R.E.D. —> Mechanics District
Classification: M.D.
The new classifications for the sub districts are:
Science District:
Chemistry = Chem
Genetics = Gen
Marks = Mark
Defense District:
Military = Mili
Security = Sec
Resources = Res
Mechanics District:
Robotics = Robot
Engineering = Engine
Coding = Code
If you were wondering where the Coding District came from, and why none of the Entertainment Districts sub-district are listed. The Coding District was a more recent change that used to be apart of Engineering, and The Entertainment District is still in the works so I’ll post an update once we get things figured out.
Now all of these changes will be made over the course of the week so make sure to keep and I out. The J.L.D.C. will auto update all of the classification, but anything within the writing of the log would need to be changed writer. While it’s not required to update your logs, it would be helpful for anyone joining the company after the update.
I look forward to continue working with all of you, and I wish you luck.
Love, Vexus
