military Ship: The Leviathan

The Leviathan is the first spaceship designed for solely military use. Built to be an eye in the sky and to dispense overwhelming force. Their primary functions are for high scale raids and void divers, but also work as a sign of security for allies and waypoint for quick military action.

Each leviathan’s weaponry is customizable to ensure it has the best equipment for the job at hand. When it comes to normal military use, the weaponry is discussed and chosen by Sehryn and the ship captains. But when it comes to void diver use, the weaponry choices is much more limited, but is chosen by the void divers.

Top Floor

The optional terrets are:

  • Spatial Mirror: A turret that dispenses a spatial portal wall out it’s sides. Every thing that goes through the portal is used as ammo and is fire right back, regardless of size. Can only shoot in the direction terret is facing.

  • Thermal Laser: A double barreled thermal E.C.E. laser turret. Can swivel to shoot in every direction.

  • Frost Lobber: A semi mortar that fires blobs of frost E.C.E. to freeze target it there place. Can only swivel in circles and adjust barrel angle for distance.

  • Anti Ordnance: A double barreled turret that scans the air for incoming enemy explosives, and uses thermal and frost E.C.E. to quickly disable it. Can swivel to shoot in every direction.

  • Mini SRE: Same SRE as the ship, but smaller in every way. Can swivel in circles, and can aim upwards up to a 35° angle.

  • Proximity Thermal Thrower: A proximity turret that scans the horizontal area around it, and shoots thermal E.C.E. at any threat to set it off. Can shoot in every horizontal direction.

  • Double Railbolter: An underpowered double barreled railgun, that shoots 50cm pointed V-X alloy rods. Can swivel to shoot in every direction.

Void divers are able to use all the turrets, but are limited to using the quad pelter, the skyward cryst bomb, the static gas pod, and the frost carpet orbitals.

The ship itself uses 4 reactors; a gen.2 spatial warp drive, a space grade thermal reactor, a frost generator, and a space grade static reactor. The ship overall uses a lot of both static and thermal for power. There are 2 H-P thrusters for shorter planetary movement, and 8 orientation thrusters for landing and to keep the orbitals facing the mission site. The ship is kept as symmetrical in weight as possible, to make sure some engines do not work harder then others when in atmosphere.

There are only 2 weapons that are permanently on each leviathan. The static rail emp (SRE) and thermal lasers. The thermal lasers are solely for the ships self defense, and are scattered around the exterior of the ship for optimal defensive coverage. The SRE is a railgun that shoots beam of highly condensed static E.C.E.. It is highly penetrative, but weakens with every contact due to it creating an emp with every contact. It requires so much static E.C.E. that it needs it’s own generator. The SRE is positioned on the nose of ship and moves on a track, so it can shoot down, forward, and up.

For the custom weaponry, the ship is able to carry 4 different terrets and 4 extra orbitals excluding the SRE. The ships are able to use more than one of each weaponry.

The optional orbitals are:

  • Frost Carpet: An orbital pod that dispenses a circle of frost E.C.E. once it get close enough to the ground.

  • Static Gas Pod: An orbital pod that releases static E.C.E. into the air for one minute before re-containing the E.C.E. and translocating back to the ship.

  • 200Kg Thermal Drill Bomb: A 200Kg bomb with a thermal drill on the front. Built to take down heavy war machines by mining into the top before landing inside and blowing up.

  • Skyward Cryst bomb: An anti personnel bomb that blows up after two seconds upon landing, spraying cryst E.C.E. shrapnel that will re-release any E.C.E.’s absorbed before detonation.

  • Thermal Tri Laser: Three medium thermal lasers spin in a circle three times, before condensing in the middle.

  • Quad Pelter: Fires three 50Kg missiles, each landing two second after the last. Then fires one 100Kg missile that lands three seconds after the last 50Kg.
